If you don’t know her music and you need to see what you are asking for, here’s a concert clip from YouTube. This is from here first album and while all her albums have had some extraordinary music on them, this remains my favorite. It evokes the power of narrative and the imagination to take us away from the cares and troubles of our daily existence. It is beautiful and elegant in its simplicity. Heck, while I am at it, here’s another artist I’d like to see come to town. Quite a change of pace, but I can’t get these songs out of my head. Word is his live shows are a lot of fun, too.
